PASTOR JOHN MUSIC AND FAMILY

In February 2018, Comfort Baptist Church joyously welcomed John Music as the new pastor. 

 

John was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and graduated from Southwest High School in 1994.  After 2 years of junior college studies, he attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2000. 

 

While at Howard Payne, John met and married his wife Alicia before he graduated.  John received God’s call to full-time ministry while a junior at Howard Payne, and after graduation, he enrolled at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth and earned his Masters of Divinity degree in 2004.

John held various ministerial positions around the state of Texas before finding his way to the Hill Country and Comfort Baptist Church.  He has served at First Baptist Church, San Angelo, Paul Ann Baptist Church in San Angelo, and Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston. 

 

In his spare time, John is an avid reader. He enjoys watching and playing all kinds of sports, and he loves spending quality time with his wife Alicia and their two children, Hannah and Joey.
